- Geffen Records and HYBE have partnered to create HYBE X GEFFEN, an international female group. November 2021 saw the announcement of the cooperation. The group’s 2022 debut was initially planned.
- In association with Geffen Records, HYBE, the South Korean entertainment organization responsible for supergroups such as BTS, has revealed the 20 candidates vying to be part of the inaugural HYBE x Geffen Records global girl group.
- The contestants, who came from all around the world, were selected from more than 120,000 entries that were received after the HYBE x Geffen Global Girl Group Audition was announced in November 2021.
- For a chance to join the inaugural HYBE x Geffen Records global girl group, the young females will compete over the next few months.
