Dance India Dance DID Audition 2023 : Selection Process
The candidate selection will be done into 2 stages:
The Open Auditions and a second: The Open Auditions will be held in the 5 to 6 major Indian cities & are typically open to anyone aged whose age lies between 15 and 30 at the time of audition.
During this stage, all dancers showcase a brief routine before 3 judges. If the dancer impresses the masters with his/her dancing ability, masters award a Hat called Taqdeer Ki Topi (aka Hat of Destiny), moving them ahead in the competition.
The Mega Auditions: The 2nd stage is the Mega Auditions, which is a several-day-long process in which the 100 fortunate candidates are tested for overall well-rounded dance capability, & their ability to showcase under pressure. At the end of this procedure, only the top 36 competitors are selected.
Brief Details About the Judges of the Show:
The series’ head judge has been Grand Master Mithun Chakraborty. Grand Master salutes any contestant who puts on an extraordinary performance. Grand Salute is the highest form of respect for any contestant in this competition.
Coaches, three Indian choreographers, choreograph the contestants and serve as judges alongside the Grand Master each season. Master Geeta Kapoor, Master Terence Lewis, and Master Remo D’Souza served as regular judges for the first three seasons, along with Grand Master.
The judges were then rotated from season 4 season to season. As a mark of respect, the judges give each contestant a special speech when they recognize a flawless performance.
